This area is the main reason people come to see Chloride, Arizona. Most of this has been rebuilt but there are still a few of the original buildings left from its Wild West beginnings. You are looking at less than half of what is there.
I mentioned the brightness of the high desert light in my previous post, Yesterdays, and you sort of see it here, hopefully. I corrected this image a lot, but not so much as to eliminate the blinding light. In the original exposure it was all white dirt and black shadows. It is a harsh environment in every way – even photographically.
